Our Story

Our founder Taiba was ready to quit her full-time job to pursue her love of nursing when she devised a strategy to launch her side business to keep her afloat whilst completing her nursing studies. From attending local craft markets, to launching our online store followed by opening our first physical store in the heart of South Yarra, on Chapel Street, Taiba never expected the amount of positive growth that would come from the opening her ‘side’ business.

Alongside her husband Jared, and her two young children Lexi and Johny, Taiba has been able to expand her Melbourne team to over 15 female employees across our two stores and studio, with also a small but talented female team working out of Sydney. Following the 2018 opening of our current Chapel Street store, in 2021 in-between lockdowns we were lucky enough to be able to open our Mosman store up in Sydney. Bringing us to this year where we have launched another Melbourne store on Brunswick Street Fitzroy and expanded to a larger studio in Balaclava.

Our ambitious team consists of a young group of creative hard-working girls who are all now best-friends. From long-standing employees to welcoming a range of new employees, all members have been able to expand their skill sets from customer service, stock, design & marketing to most importantly jewellery making; Safe to say we are all well versed in everything Finer Rings.

Branding ourselves on affordable anti-tarnishing jewellery, we have all learnt how to make and customise the beautiful products we stock. In addition, we have all had the opportunity to design and launch new collections both in-store and online. On top of this we have recently established our new event Fine & Wine, where we take the time to educate others on the fundamentals of jewellery making over in our Fitzroy store.

The team alongside Taiba and her family are continually striving to make the Finer Rings experience a positive one for each customer from start to finish. We are appreciate all of our customers who continue to show loyal support to our small local business. We are beyond excited for you all to see what Finer Rings has in store for the future.
